Overview

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1194, by Fyèlêmë Trg̈g̈gado Zleg̈m. The establishment of Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow baked earthen streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up.

Cultural Notes

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by grandeur of scale, simplicity of geometric forms, dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls. This design ethos extended to re-imagining earlier styles of structure to create them anew, with a similar overall look and feel to one another..

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè.

The Almiraj near Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Vêvè-tega Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Augury energies of tier 1 via mimery.
